Beats Solo3
Here is another product that made me challenge myself. I saw an ad for a different pair of headphones that had this same idea with the neon sign. First, I needed to take a picture with clean lighting. Then I had to figure out how to make a neon sign go through the headphones. This was a challenge for sure.
Once I got the shot that I wanted I took the picture into Adobe Lightroom and edited it. I then took the photo into Adobe Photoshop to create the neon sign. I started by adding a gradient background behind the headphones. I went onto dafont.com to find a neon font. I downloaded that and I was on my way. Then I added the words with the neon sign font that I had found. The only problem was that it didn’t look like a neon sign at all. It was so close but yet so far. I ended up having to add some effects to the text. I had to add an inner glow, outer glow, and a drop shadow to all of the text, as well as the logo. With all three of those effects I played around with them to get the neon lettering to look just right. After all of this I had to paint in some red to the headphones to make it look like the neon sign was glowing on the headphones.
I also took the headphones into Final Cut Pro and made the neon sign look like it was glitching.
